The Egg

By: Andy Weir

You were on your way home when you died.
It was a car accident. Nothing particularly remarkable, but fatal nonetheless. You left behind a wife and two children. It was a painless death. The EMTs tried their best to save you, but to no avail. Your body was so utterly shattered you were better off, trust me.
And that’s when you met me.
“What… what happened?” You asked. “Where am I?”
“You died,” I said, matter-of-factly. No point in mincing words.
“There was a… a truck and it was skidding…”
“Yup,” I said.
“I… I died?”
“Yup. But don’t feel bad about it. Everyone dies,” I said.
You looked around. There was nothingness. Just you and me. “What is this place?” You asked. “Is this the afterlife?”
“More or less,” I said.
“Are you god?” You asked.
“Yup,” I replied. “I’m God.”
“My kids… my wife,” you said.
“What about them?”
“Will they be all right?”
“That’s what I like to see,” I said. “You just died and your main concern is for your family. That’s good stuff right there.”
You looked at me with fascination. To you, I didn’t look like God. I just looked like some man. Or possibly a woman. Some vague authority figure, maybe. More of a grammar school teacher than the almighty.
“Don’t worry,” I said. “They’ll be fine. Your kids will remember you as perfect in every way. They didn’t have time to grow contempt for you. Your wife will cry on the outside, but will be secretly relieved. To be fair, your marriage was falling apart. If it’s any consolation, she’ll feel very guilty for feeling relieved.”
“Oh,” you said. “So what happens now? Do I go to heaven or hell or something?”
“Neither,” I said. “You’ll be reincarnated.”
“Ah,” you said. “So the Hindus were right,”
“All religions are right in their own way,” I said. “Walk with me.”
You followed along as we strode through the void. “Where are we going?”
“Nowhere in particular,” I said. “It’s just nice to walk while we talk.”
“So what’s the point, then?” You asked. “When I get reborn, I’ll just be a blank slate, right? A baby. So all my experiences and everything I did in this life won’t matter.”
“Not so!” I said. “You have within you all the knowledge and experiences of all your past lives. You just don’t remember them right now.”
I stopped walking and took you by the shoulders. “Your soul is more magnificent, beautiful, and gigantic than you can possibly imagine. A human mind can only contain a tiny fraction of what you are. It’s like sticking your finger in a glass of water to see if it’s hot or cold. You put a tiny part of yourself into the vessel, and when you bring it back out, you’ve gained all the experiences it had.
“You’ve been in a human for the last 48 years, so you haven’t stretched out yet and felt the rest of your immense consciousness. If we hung out here for long enough, you’d start remembering everything. But there’s no point to doing that between each life.”
“How many times have I been reincarnated, then?”
“Oh lots. Lots and lots. An in to lots of different lives.” I said. “This time around, you’ll be a Chinese peasant girl in 540 AD.”
“Wait, what?” You stammered. “You’re sending me back in time?”
“Well, I guess technically. Time, as you know it, only exists in your universe. Things are different where I come from.”
“Where you come from?” You said.
“Oh sure,” I explained “I come from somewhere. Somewhere else. And there are others like me. I know you’ll want to know what it’s like there, but honestly you wouldn’t understand.”
“Oh,” you said, a little let down. “But wait. If I get reincarnated to other places in time, I could have interacted with myself at some point.”
“Sure. Happens all the time. And with both lives only aware of their own lifespan you don’t even know it’s happening.”
“So what’s the point of it all?”
“Seriously?” I asked. “Seriously? You’re asking me for the meaning of life? Isn’t that a little stereotypical?”
“Well it’s a reasonable question,” you persisted.
I looked you in the eye. “The meaning of life, the reason I made this whole universe, is for you to mature.”
“You mean mankind? You want us to mature?”
“No, just you. I made this whole universe for you. With each new life you grow and mature and become a larger and greater intellect.”
“Just me? What about everyone else?”
“There is no one else,” I said. “In this universe, there’s just you and me.”
You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…”
“All you. Different incarnations of you.”
“Wait. I’m everyone!?”
“Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.
“I’m every human being who ever lived?”
“Or who will ever live, yes.”
“I’m Abraham Lincoln?”
“And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added.
“I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled.
“And you’re the millions he killed.”
“I’m Jesus?”
“And you’re everyone who followed him.”
You fell silent.
“Every time you victimized someone,” I said, “you were victimizing yourself. Every act of kindness you’ve done, you’ve done to yourself. Every happy and sad moment ever experienced by any human was, or will be, experienced by you.”
You thought for a long time.
“Why?” You asked me. “Why do all this?”
“Because someday, you will become like me. Because that’s what you are. You’re one of my kind. You’re my child.”
“Whoa,” you said, incredulous. “You mean I’m a god?”
“No. Not yet. You’re a fetus. You’re still growing. Once you’ve lived every human life throughout all time, you will have grown enough to be born.”
“So the whole universe,” you said, “it’s just…”
“An egg.” I answered. “Now it’s time for you to move on to your next life.”
And I sent you on your way.

YOU ARE HIRED!!!

Franz710's misadventures of a call center agent story  part 9

“If you make customers unhappy in the physical world, they might each tell 6 friends.  If you make customers unhappy on the Internet, they can each tell 6,000 friends.” Jeff Bezos

“Congratulations, you've successfully passed the recruitment process. You’re hired”.

YOU ARE HIRED!!!

Ipo-promote ang world peace.

Wag kang hibang choice mo yan.

Tips paano makaka recover pag heart broken.

"Tuloy pa rin ang awit ng buhay ko
Nagbago man ang hugis ng puso mo
Handa na ‘kong hamunin ang aking mundo
basta tuloy pa rin" - a song from neocolors

Getting your strength back from a bad break up is hard, kahit hindi mo na mahal ang isang tao, mahirap na, or if you loved them, and still do, it is even harder.

Heto ang mga tips kung paano makakarecover sa break up and heal your shattered heart: (tips lang to ha you can share your own)

Let it all out if you want to. Crying is good. It is part of life. You will find that there are going to be hard times that hit you all of a sudden and you will feel like crying and letting it all out, Ilabas mo lahat. You need to do this any way to keep your sanity kesa naman sa di mo ilalabas tapos para kang tanga ta tulala lagi. Isipin mo langt na this will help you feel better and get back on track. You need to do this when you feel the urge and do not worry about what others think.

Humanap ng kaibigan ng masasabihan ng problema
You need to share your feelings. Getting out what you are feeling is going to make you feel better inside. You want to share these feelings with your friends and family or anyone that will listen to you. Having a good support is going to help you get through the tough times faster. You do not have to let it out all at once. Talk about it slowly and work your way up to getting it all out in the open.

Iwasang sisihin and sarili (ta^^mahh)
Stop beating yourself up. While it is a good idea na malaman mo kung ano ang nagging pagkukulang mo and ano ba yung mga nagawa mong mali or mali din nya,Pero do not put all the blame on yourself. You will be in a terrible situation already when you are heart-broken. You will only make matters worse when you keep blaming yourself. Do not sit around and mag mokmok at mag pa ka EMO na iniisa-isa ang mga bagay na pagkukulang mo or everything that you did wrong in your relationship. Chances are that you both could have changed things for the better of the relationship, so it was not just you. It takes two to tango ika nga. You will make your pain more intense when you keep thinking about it instead of finding a solution. You should understand that everybody has weaknesses, including you and your partner. Accept the mistakes you committed and strive to avoid them in the future.

Ibaling sa ibang ang atensyon and act as if you are moving on.
Start participating in new activities and picking up new hobbies. If there is something that you have always wanted to do, but never made time for it (kase nga busy ka sa relationship mo dati), here is your chance! Do not be afraid to try new things, it is a wonderful way to get your mind off your heart break. Doing the things that you love the most will help you get over the break up too. You will want to make sure that you are keeping up with your hobbies and doing what makes you the happiest. Like on my end I love computers I have the time now to check new updates about computer technology on the internet. I also keep track of my schedule on track and stay busy at work being a tech lead in a call center (isali ba ang sarili ko). Do the same and this will help you heal faster. Keeping busy is key. You need to stay on the go and keep your mind occupied. This will allow you to keep those unhappy and undesirable life events out of your mind and keep you motivated to stay healthy. You want to make sure that you are doing all that you can to stay busy. You will want to talk to your friends, go out more and spend some time with your family. These things will make you feel better and help heal your wounded heart. It is difficult to feel pain when you are excited with what you are doing. When you participate in an activity that you have been longing for, you won't have time to be gloomy as you focus on your heart-break. This is the time to make your dream come true.

Reassure Yourself na “kaya mo yan”
Wake up in the morning and look at yourself in the mirror and say that you want to live life. This is very essential as until you don't feel like living, anything you do wouldn't be done whole heartedly. You are not a loser to run away from life just because of some hard situations that you have to face. Mending a broken heart is far easier than losing your life. Life is God's gift and we should make good use of it, so sulking and crying should be shown the door.

Take a Break! And Laugh Your Lungs Out
The best thing to do once you've had a breakup is to take some time off for yourself and get a grip of your feelings and emotions. The state of mind that one is in during or after a break up will not let you concentrate and give your best to anything you do. So take a little break from work and rather work on getting back your usual self. There are so many good comedy movies that will have you rolling all over with tears in your eyes laughing watching them. Walk to your nearby store and rent some good titles and watch them. Laughter is the best medicine; it not only exercises your muscles but also clears up your lungs and will be a perfect medicine to mend your broken heart. Laughter works like a therapy for your body and soul, so laugh as much as you can, and you wouldn't even realize that it's been quite some time that your mind wandered and thought about your ex.

When you find another person to date, you will have someone else to give your attention to. This will help you to get your heart-break off your mind.
Actually, broken heart is hard to deal with no matter how the break up goes down. It is something that may hurt for a long time to come. You need to figure out how to get over a broken heart when it happens. It may not be something that you want to think about but you have to do it because life does go on and you need to take advantage of it.

Bottomline mga kakosa.
Think about what is good for you. You have to get over this broken heart fast so that you are able to feel better. You need to make good choices for what is good for your heart and soul. Make sure that you are not putting yourself in any situation that may be harmful for you. Getting over the breakup is important and you need to do what is best for you.
Taking good care of yourself is important. You want to keep eating and exercising and staying healthy. You need to keep your strength up so that you are able to be strong and able to feel good about yourself. This will help you get over the break up and get back on track.

Time is of the essence. You need to remember that all wounds heal with time. You need to give yourself the time and soon you will notice that you are not feeling so bad and that life is good again.T here is no need to worry when you are involved in a break up. Everyone has been through it and there is going to be happiness again. When a relationship breakup happens, understand that it is not your fault and do not put all the blame on yourself. It usually does mean that something has gone off-balance in your life and in your relationship and you need to put that balance back.

The Charles Schultz Philosophy

("Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in the Australia ." by Charles Schultz)

I have receive an email from a friend. I feel like sharing it to you

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the message straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America Contest.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. They are not second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are NOT the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones who care.

Share this with those who have made a difference in your life.

I just did!

Tips paano maging swerte

Franz710's misadventures of a call center agent story  part 9

"I'm a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." - Thomas Jefferson

Malas ka ba? Smile here are some tips that might help you.

SWERTE?
Some have it. Some don’t.
Some don´t believe in it.

Swerte ni ate :)
Ako I do believe on it, One time nga isa sa nga interview ko ; sabi ng kapatid ko, malas daw ako dapat daw ako maligo ng asin at tawas before I go to a job interview. and you guess it right after I did the advice natangap ako. Coincidence maybe.

Whatever you focus your mind on you’ll find proof of and possibilities to get more of. If you focus on having no money, then your mind will find energy to attract this mind set to become reality.
If you focus on increasing your income then your mind will suddenly start noticing positive energy and will attract good results as well.
Focus on what you want, instead of what you don’t want, and opportunities will start to pop out of those positive feeling...

Do research online. The solutions and opportunities you need are most likely out there right now. They might fall into your lap some time in the future. But you if you are proactive then you can find some of them today. Don’t waste you time.

Be open and maging alerto sa mga posibilidad – Possibilities may not always jump up into your face. They might be where you are right now. Or they might be a little bit further away, pehaps a bit to your left or to your right. But you have to be open to them and the possibility that they might not look exactly like you have imagined. Wag ka mag lakad na parang zombie pero don’t be too focused on a solution that will look exactly as you imagined it.Swabe lang , Look up, wake up, open up and take notice of the opportunities in your life. There are often more of them than we might think.

Be POSITIVE – By keeping a positive attitude most people will react to you in a similar manner. The world is often a mirror of ourselves. Kung may positive attitude ka towards other people they will be more positive towards you and offer you far more opportunities and help than if you keep a negative attitude.

Laging Handa (boyscout hahaha) – Now you that you’ve spotted an opportunity, what to do?(kunwari may sinagot ka)  Exactly (sabi ko). It’s a great idea to have an idea about how you can use an opportunity in a way that it benefits you.
Read. Talk about what you want with others that have more experience and knowledge than you. Ask them a lot of questions (and don’t be afraid of asking the stupid ones). Educate yourself so that you are ready to make good and useful decisions when the opportunity arises.

Take action over and over again – Obvious, eh? Well, still it’s very common just to gather information about something or having an opportunity just in front of you and doing nothing about it. We’ve all done that.
Try to figure out what is holding you back. If it is fear – which I believe it pretty often is. If it’s something else, then try to find some information about your problem and practical solutions. Si pareng Google is your friend.

Taking action over and over creates more and more possibilities for positive coincidences and possibilities. It also increases your experience and makes you better and better prepared for each time that you find a possibility diba?.

Following these steps has created more opportunities and chance coincidences – what I would see as luck – in my life. And, over time, habang ba hahasa ako. I believe I will create more and more of that.
p.s. about dun sa sa paliligo ko ng asin yun ba talaga nakapag pa swerte sa akin? last year oo yun paniwala ko but now as I write this article, I came to the conclusion kaya ako naging swerte ay dahil sa asin na yun na tanim sa isip ko na wala na malas sa akin, It's all in the mind , I just thought positive back then.
I hope you´ll have the same experience too like I do.

Franz710's misadventures of a call center agent story  part 6

"Success is the result of countless failures you've done in order to attain it. At any rate, You must have the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm" - Mark Aaron A. Corrales and Winston Churchill

patalastas: .mayroon muna i kwekwento muna ako.

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"

He then asked, "Who still wants it?"Still the hands were up in the air."Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.So ano ngayon kiko?Madalas kase sa ating buhay, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt dahil sa mga decisyon na atin nagagawa at maraming pagsubok na dumarating sa ating buhay. We feel as though we are worthless, walang kwenta ang buhay. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose our value. You are special - Don't ever forget it! Kahit kailan di ka nawalan ng halaga
